200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training In Rishikesh

What is 200 hour yoga teacher training?

At Rishikesh, you’ll learn to guide and lead an intense yoga practice that will help you grow as a person. Practicing for years has made me know how important this experience is.

You’ll need a strong mind and body to practice all of these difficult asanas (poses). But your willingness to work hard will help you progress and feel comfortable leading others.

Our experienced teachers create a safe and supportive environment where each student can be their best. Students are pushed past their comfort zones so they can gain new skills and experiences.

These pose-based practices improve posture, balance, and stability while reducing back pain. You will also have access to all other aspects of classical yoga including breathing techniques, lifestyle lessons, and personal exercises.

More advanced classes include meditation and pranayama (breathing exercise) practices. These lessons build upon the foundations of traditional yoga to offer additional ways to strengthen the body and spirit.

A minimum commitment of 6 months is required. During this time, you will focus on learning practical knowledge and skills related to yoga and mindfulness. You will also find out what it has given you beyond a physical workout.

There are a few requirements for students planning to pursue an intensive yoga training program. First, applicants must be over 17 years old. Second, individuals who have previously attended workshop or class are eligible to apply.

Find out about the location of the yoga school

The training is conducted at various locations in and around Rishikesh. You can choose your preferred place to live in.

The classes are held every day (except Sundays) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

During this time, you will lead into-bodied practice with other students and teachers. There is an option for one hour per night which people use as bedtime story or reading time.

Practices include: Asanas, Breathing techniques, Pranayama, Chanting, Meditation, and Guru Sadhana – faith forming exercise.

Students who complete the training receive their 200-hour certification. This certificate indicates that they have completed their teacher training and are now qualified to teach yoga classes.

Certificates are issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Ask about the living conditions at the school

There have been many complaints about the staff and students of The Yonder Studio in India. It is thought that some of these issues are related to the environment there.

It has been said that the owners do not live permanently but only use the property as a home when they are in India, which is called "worker's rights". These are questions that need to be answered by the owner who currently does not want any outsiders questioning their practices.

Some say that the property is run down and the money made from it is used for personal purposes. Some stories tell of people being beaten or strangled because of non-payment of rent. This may sound unbelievable but after reading all reports about the place one should question why no attempts were ever made to fix the property or make it better kept and cleaner.

Find out about the teachers

The instructors of this yoga school are experts with different types of yoga exercises. Some instructors specialize in Hatha, while others focus more on yin practices or energizing classes. Look to other students or get assistance from other schools if you are unsure what type of class style you enjoy.

However, even with so many people waiting for it, there’s still an oversubscription of nearly three times the amount. So if you find that your course is full, don’t worry — you can still apply directly through our website.

Besides the student fees, you also need to pay a registration fee. This goes towards your food order each night at dinner. And although everything is free set aside for souvenirs. These will be gifts handed out at the end of the month.

The only other cost involved would be any purchases you make while exploring what India has to offer. Make sure you leave yourself enough money to get back home too.

Ask about resources

If you need further information or help, just ask. Other trained teachers are here to provide assistance and guide you through your practice.

You may not always get answers right away, but their knowledge is still passed on to anyone who asks them for help. More experienced students can also be helpful, even if they don’t have time to give it all to you immediately.

There are many other training programs offering guidance and support throughout the city. You might know of one close to you by checking out their website or passing along your interest.

Many centers offer guest classes daily, as well as practices to attend after completing your certification.

Whether you choose to teach at home or elsewhere, each certified yoga teacher must complete a minimum number of hours once a week to maintain their credential.

These include background checks and clinical supervision, as well as continuing education courses. A percentage of those enrolled in the program must be working with an approved instructor.

Final questions

After completing your admissions to the school, there are a few final questions you will need to ask yourself before heading home.

These questions address why you chose to become a yoga teacher, how much money you are willing to spend on practicing yoga, and if you have ideas about teaching what and where.

Answering these questions ahead of time can make it easier to focus on practice when you are back in your room.

Ask yourself now “how committed am I really going to be”?’

It is very important to figure this out now instead of after you've invested too much time learning everything else.

There are only so many hours in the day and only one life. Being successful as a professional yoga practitioner requires that you know who you are and what you want and don't want in your career.

Ask yourself what kind of lifestyle do you prefer? Working long days at work for extended periods of time can get tiring. --Why not try having another job or internship that supplements your studies and/or workspace?

You could work at a restaurant business, help out at community centers or sports organizations, or even take a part-time position after class or during lunch. The more places you go, the more opportunities you have to learn something new and expand your comfort zone.

Are you prepared to leave family and friends behind while you travel? Because

Don’t forget to ask

There are many teachers who have completed a training but still feel that something is missing. They have learned some things through experience, so their knowledge of how to teach is coming from somewhere (even if it's not from yoga itself).

You can either try to tell them what they should be doing, or you can just go ahead and ask why they don't do this way. It may seem rude at first, but there is a good chance that they didn't know they were being rude.

By asking questions, you can find out whether or not they knew they were wrong. People will often give up talking to you for fear of seeming rude, but that isn't real rudeness. Everyone feels similarly about every topic, and trying to get someone to talk about themselves is a great way to break the ice.

If you notice someone making a mistake, say something. If you see someone getting impatient with others, make a comment yourself to put them back into the conversation. More likely than not, everyone needs a little help along the way when learning new skills, especially people more experienced in life.
