Meditation Teacher Training Rishikesh | The Art Of Losing And Finding

Rishikesh is a town in the Great Himalayas

The centre of this fascinating place is called Vaanti (meaning “land of beauty”).

Vimna, one of the greatest mountain rivers drains into it. During weekends, many local villagers come to enjoy the stream which has been dried up for most part of the year.

A boat ride of about an hour takes you there. Once you are at Rishikesh, you will find that it contains several scattered villages. It feels like being in someone’s home — all those little things add to the charm of going here.

The climate is perfect for walking around. You can have hours of entertainment just by keeping your eyes open. Nature has really put on a show here.

There are so many places to visit! Mountain streams, caves, waterfalls, gardens…and then you have the option of doing yoga sessions. A more personalized experience would be to take a meditation session under the guidance of a yogi. This way you will also get to know something more about the culture and lifestyle of these people.

The town is famous for its many meditation centres

You can find numerous meditation centers in this small town of temples, yoga shops and retreats. It is located near the foothills of Mount Kailash and Mansi Hill which gives it an extremely picturesque view.

Many tourists visit here to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is a great place to practice yogic ways such as Nadi Shundak or ‘Chanting Yoga’ where you take a simple chant that doesn’t require any particular proficiency and really focus on having a good time.

There are different sizes of groups for both events so if you want to join one, let us know! We usually organize smaller groups with individual members who don’t speak English too well. Or we do larger group programs where they include language learning.

The people are very welcoming, friendly and generous. If you stay at their guest house, your host Will try his best to make you feel comfortable and welcome.

The town is located in the Uttarakhand state of India

Rishika is talking about her recent trip to this beautiful place

A few months ago, we were fortunate enough to go for a week’s yoga retreat to this charming hotel in the mountains above Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was led by an amazing yogi named Akshara who lives there. I decided to visit him after reading several glowing reviews from readers.

I had always wanted to spend some time practicing meditation outside of my home community (which is awesome), so when a friend invited me to come along to one of his classes, I said sure. To my surprise, he lasted two hours. He started with breath awareness and then moved onto peace practices such as mindfulness and introspection.

He talked about problems related issues that many people deal with every day like stress, fear, resentment and shame. He helped us understand these processes so that they no longer have power over us.

He also shared stories from last year’s meditation trainings where members found ways to heal their bodies through yoga. One story in particular inspired me to think more deeply about myself and how I look up to health professionals. She shared that she felt better than ever before, but at what cost?

She admitted to pushing away those who tried to get close to her out of fear that someone would discover that she wasn’t okay. Her mental break occurred when she didn’t receive recognition for something that

The town is a popular destination for yoga teachers

Another advantage of going to Rishikesh over other places like India or Thailand is that it is very close to home. More and more westerners are choosing to live and work as yogis in this small, picturesque town.

If you are looking to deepen your practice, then this could be the place for you. Many long-term residents leave their mark on the city every year.

Many will stay put, but most will come back each summer. Those who don’t love Rishikesh any less than I do include its quieter moments, such as lying down by a pool at night with a good book.

There’s also one beautiful temple within walking distance of the ashram. Every morning before breakfast, we gather as a group and have an invocation meeting led by Swami Atmananda. Then we disperse to our various rooms to prepare for the day.

Since there’s so much peace and tranquility here, everything is completely silent. No cars drive through the neighborhood, making for some sleep-inducing nights. All creatures seem to be safe inside the Ashram grounds, which are quite large. We enjoy walking together throughout the property.

The Art of Losing and Finding is a weekly podcast

Meditation Teacher Training Rishikesh | The Art Of Losing And Finding

I started listening to this podcast because I was looking for an alternative to the news. While the host Rinadona Mackenzie is voice is not necessarily my taste, there are some really good points that make it worth giving it a listen.

First, she gives insights about what’s going on in the community, politics, events, art shows, etc. She also shares tips for us to help heal this world we live in.

Second, she has lots of different people on the show who are sharing their experiences, stories and life lessons. You get to hear things from a variety of perspectives!

Third, everything you need to know is in the topics discussed which include mental health, personal development, happiness, emotional wellness, relationships, spirituality, education, fitness & nutrition, genetics, environment, healing, culture, and technology.

This is a 5 day retreat taking place on May

The purpose of this guide is to help you prepare for the Retreat.

There are many lessons to be learned from this program. Program participants have stated that they were able to learn how to relax, regain focus in their lives, and gain confidence in themselves during the program.

Many people feel compelled to do things outside of what they normally would do to better their life. There are different ways to accomplish this goal, and one of them is by participating in community service activities.

By volunteering your time to give back to your community, others will see you as more caring and conscious and think you are a happier person than you actually are.

Participating in this program will allow you to connect with other individuals who are trying to improve their lives through personal growth and understanding. You will leave the program having given yourself a challenge that you cannot wait to put into practice in the rest of your life.

Cost: $5825

Here’s what you get for your money:

You will find yourself, your thoughts, and your experiences have value which is beyond price.

Your life has limitless possibilities if you learn to release limitations that have been placed upon it by your own thinking.

Become aware of how much time you spend thinking about things with no real result, vs spending time doing something that has an actual outcome.

It’s easy to fall into the habit of seeking external outcomes (things I don’t have) or internal outcomes (my feelings are not happy) when we should be focused on the here and now.

Let go of wanting to control everything in your life and experience some level of acceptance and happiness with what you are going through at this moment.

This can include having awareness that there is a cost to every item or action you take in pursuing external objects or experiences. There is a mental and physical price to pay for everything. You just have to know how to identify them.

There is still a lot of work to do within ourselves before we can expect anything outside of us to change. Letting go of our inner demands (i.e. “I must be perfect”, “Everyone needs to understand me”, etc.) gives space for new experiences and people to enter our lives.

The mind is like any other body part. It gets

Classroom sessions with teachers

One way to experience teaching in an authentic way is by doing it yourself. Even if you’re not much of a teacher, there are many things you can teach others about health and lifestyle issues related to mindfulness.

It sounds simple, but the results can be tremendous. You just have to prepare yourself for the responsibility that goes along with being a teacher.

As a student, you will get help from your teachers. If you need assistance, everything below college courses (offered during weekends) and personal guidance (via call or online chat) will be provided for you.

And most important, they are free!
